Product Description
Native to South America, Alternanthera reineckii is a relatively easy red stem plant great for adding instant vibrancy to the aquarium. Perfect for providing effective contrast.
Depending on the light intensity, the tops of the leaves will vary from bronze to red while the underside will stay purple. Alternanthera reineckii can grow in low light with no CO2 supplementation but growth will be slow. However good lighting and fertilization will encourage vigorous growth and vibrant colours.
