Lilaeopsis brasiliensis originates from South America and is an ideal Aquarium Foreground plant, creating a beautiful "lawn effect''. Growing to an average of 3-6 cm tall, high growth can be achieved at high light intensity, a good quality substrate and nutrient rich water. L. brasiliensis, due to its low stature, is an excellent grassy foreground alternative to the more common Eleocharis spp. (hairgrass) and Echinodorus tenellus. It can also be used to provide vertical accents in Glossotigma and Riccia lawns.
How to Plant:
You will receive this plant in a small pot. Plant small clumps (approx. 1/8 pot) of Lilaeopsis, spaced a few centimetres apart.
Place in an open position without shading from other plants to ensure good light. Lilaeopsis brasiliensis can also be used in garden ponds, and also tolerates low salt concentrations in brackish water aquariums.
