Lobelia cardinalis
Can be grown both submersed and immersed, so is suitable for both planted aquariums along with terrariums/paludariums.
Lobelia cardinalis is an easy to grow plant, that looks especially beautiful in a big, lush ‘Dutch Style’ planted aquarium.
In its submerged state, this plant has a lovely bright green leaf, in its emersed state, the leaves get a scarlet red underside. If the plant reaches the surface of the water, you’ll notice the leaves will start to take on their emersed form and colour and even start to grow a nice little red flower

Light needs – low – medium
Growth rate – medium, average height is approx. 20-30cm
Fertilisation – will benefit from adding a basic fertiliser to the water
Co2 – not required, however as with most plants, Co2 will increase the growth rate of this plant
